Nova Metrics handles the work that slows installers down — designing systems, putting together proposals, tracking installations, and handing over completed projects. One platform, no spreadsheets, no dropped balls.
Everything you need to know before getting started.

Open interactive demoNova Metrics covers the entire lifecycle of a solar project — from designing a system and winning the client, through managing the installation on-site and producing a proper handover. The whole business, in one place.
The platform does the heavy lifting: structured engineering calculations, your hardware catalogue, 152 SA locations, a 25-year financial model, and a branded proposal — all connected. You bring the expertise; Nova Metrics makes sure it shows in every deliverable you produce.
Every number in a Nova Metrics design is derived from structured calculations — not rules of thumb. The platform is built in alignment with NRS 097-2-1 and NERSA SSEG guidelines for residential and small commercial SSEG Category A & B installations — not as a compliance layer added afterwards, but as the foundation of the sizing methodology itself.
A guided workflow that takes less than five minutes per client — from entering a load profile to an engineering-grade, branded PDF ready to send.
The engineering output — system size, financials, components, yield — is all calculated first. The proposal narrative is then written around those verified numbers, structured into sections any client can follow.
Clients receive a document that reads like it came from a professional engineering firm. Because it was built on exactly that standard of data. Your branding on the cover, your hardware in the BOM, your identity on every page.
Once a proposal is accepted, the job moves automatically into the Job Portal — a structured installation workspace that tracks every step from site visit through to the customer signing off on their completed system.
No more chasing jobs on WhatsApp or tracking installations in spreadsheets. Every active job has a pipeline view, structured checklists, site visit records, and a handover certificate ready to print when you're done.
Every won job moves through a defined pipeline. Each stage unlocks when the previous one is complete, creating a clean audit trail from site assessment to customer sign-off.
It happens. The assessor gets on-site and the roof orientation is wrong, the DB board needs upgrading, or the cable run is twice what was assumed. The original proposal specs no longer fit — and the client needs to know.
Nova Metrics handles this properly. When a site visit flags a design change, the platform generates a revised proposal version, calculates the exact delta against the original accepted specs, notifies the client with a secure approval link, and holds the job until a decision is made. Nothing moves forward on an unapproved change.
Most solar businesses handle design changes over WhatsApp, with no record of what the client agreed to or when. Nova Metrics turns an awkward conversation into a documented, timestamped approval process — protecting both the installer and the client.

Financial projections. All financial outputs produced by Nova Metrics — including estimated savings, payback periods, NPV, and IRR figures — are indicative projections only, based on user-provided inputs, modelled tariff escalation scenarios, and industry-standard assumptions. Actual results will vary based on real-world site conditions, actual electricity consumption, utility tariff changes, system performance, financing structure, and other factors outside Nova Metrics’ control. These outputs do not constitute financial advice. Users should seek independent financial and technical advice before making any investment decision.
Standards alignment. Nova Metrics designs systems in alignment with NRS 097-2-1 and NERSA SSEG guidelines as understood at the time of platform development. The platform references the South African Master Inverter Compliance Register for informational purposes. Nova Metrics does not certify regulatory compliance on behalf of any installer, client, or installation. It remains the sole responsibility of the installer to confirm compliance with all applicable standards, municipal requirements, and utility connection conditions before any installation proceeds.
Installation documentation. Handover certificates, COC records, and activity logs generated by the Job Portal are operational tools for installers. They do not replace legally required documentation, licensed electrician sign-off, or any municipal or utility approval process. The installer remains solely responsible for all compliance, safety, and legal obligations associated with any installation.
Data & privacy. Proposal engagement tracking is subject to applicable privacy legislation including POPIA (Act No. 4 of 2013) and requires appropriate user consent. Installers are responsible for ensuring their use of the platform complies with all applicable data privacy obligations.
No liability. Nova Metrics shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or claim arising from reliance on platform outputs, financial projections, standards-related information, or installation documentation without independent professional verification.
